As the main hotel in the centre of town, The Wynnstay is a social hub; a place to meet old friends and to make new ones, where locals mix with visitors in an atmosphere that encourages conversation, debate and tall tales The Wynnstay is fortunate to have access to an abundance of fresh, local produce, including Welsh lamb and Beef; sea fish from Cardigan Bay, including wild sea bass, crab & lobster; and when in season, game such as pheasant, duck, partridge, woodcock; together with wild salmon, sea trout, and brown trout. They also provide Welsh cheeses and some wonderful wild mushrooms, including Porcini and Chanterelles. Served either in the bar or the restaurant, the food is prepared by dedicated, experienced chefs who will be able to please both the gourmet and the arch traditionalist. To accompany your meal are a wide selection of expertly selected fine wines - the Wynnstay was the winner of the Les Routiers Best Wine List in Britain Award 2005.
