The George Metro Hotel Dumfries and Galloway Stranraer Dumfries and Galloway Behind the facade of one of Scotland's oldest hotels is a hotel designed for life as it is today. All the rooms are either suites with one bedroom or apartments with 2 bedrooms. Each of the rooms has its own lounge for you to sit in comfort and you can even enjoy a carry-out meal at the table or in some of the suites you can make you own food on the basic cooker and microwave . Your breakfast, if you require it, can either be a continental or a full Scottish, but whichever your choice it is brought to your room at the time you wish. Whilst the hotel does not have a restaurant that it runs, there is soon to be one on the premises run by others. However, this area is endowed with wonderful restaurants, and if you ask the hotel staff will point you in the direction of the food of your choice. Philip and his sister Susan have both been in the industry for over 30 years and, for your convenience and pleasure, have tried to put this experience into this new style of hotel. |
